Abstract

The work focuses on Paolo Paruta (1540-1598), an important figure in order to reconstruct the debate on myth of Venice and mixed constitution. In his Della perfettione della vita politica (1579), decisive is the attention paid to the peculiar structure and ideology of the Venetian Republic, the only of a certain dimension and power to survive after 1530 in Italy.
